Entry Level Engineer

I’m currently in a role that I enjoy with Exelon, but if you think you might want me to work for you, shoot me an email! I’m excited to begin my professional career and have a few ideas of where I’d like to go:

Power Generation – I really enjoy being a System Engineer at Dresden Generating Station with Exelon. I also seriously loved interning at Duane Arnold Energy Center and Byron Generating Station. I can easily see myself at Dresden Generating Station or one of the other plants in the Exelon fleet for years.

Energy Consulting Services – I’ve enjoyed past work with the Industrial Energy Center at ISU, as well as the energy estimation and documentation portions of my Co-op with IBM. The whole process of going into a new space, meeting the people that run it, and coming up with solutions for them to save energy and subsequently, money, was really fun for me. I loved learning about HVAC systems and design during coursework at ISU, and would love to jump into a career in that field.

Something Else??? – I’ve got the skills. I’ve got the knowledge. If I discover I’m lacking in a certain area, I’ll ask for help to fill that knowledge gap. I’m happy to work on a team. I’m even happier to cloister myself in my cube/office and get down to the smaller details of a project. I can write a mean powerpoint, build an amazing spreadsheet and write a killer report. All in all, I get stuff done. Let’s talk about what I can bring to your team.

Math/Science Tutoring

I have tutored math, physics and chemistry in the past for Iowa State University, Scott Community College, and privately. For math I have tutored basic math through early calculus. I have tutored people from the ages of 12 to 30+. For private tutoring my rate is $20/hour.

Euphoniumist/Other Music Stuff

I am more than happy to play the euphonium or do other music related things for any special event that you might have in mind. Email me and we’ll discuss rates.
